The new small commercial inverter Hammer from Shenzhen, the M3 series, comes with many advantages. As with Huawei, many MPP trackers are 4 in number with 8 inputs each with 13 amps nominal current and 20 amps short-circuit current. As usual, they are compact and weigh just over 43kg and therefore have a power volume of almost 0.5 kW per liter. The very robust fanless design with a sophisticated heat sink is also well known and is not prone to failure. In the same concept, string fuses are dispensed with and instead each string is monitored electronically. New features such as PID recovery are added to preserve values in the long term. Furthermore, arc detection and combined with the compatible optimizations, this is even possible at module level. If the system is fully optimized, the 0V safety switch-off is also included for free.
